October has a way of bringing a sense of community. A large group of us are over pouring with excitement with the reintroduction of the pumpkin spice latte, fall fashion trends, and the annual viewing of Hocus Pocus. The crisp fall air marks the beginning of the upcoming Holiday season and many of us jump into it full force. I must admit that I go a little coo coo for cocoa puffs when it comes to the month of October. Yesterday, I busted out my Halloween decorations, made a Vegan Pumpkin Spice Bedtime Drink, Pumpkin Energy Bites, and watched Hocus Pocus! Everything from the dark lip colors to the oversized sweaters makes me feel cozy with happiness.
Simplicity is the theme for me this season. I have had to simplify a lot the last few weeks due to life with a newborn. But unfortunately, I think simplicity often has a bad connotation. It is often associated with boring or unexciting. But when we clear the clutter in our wardrobe or even life we are left with a sense of clarity and freedom. There is so much joy that can come in the uncomplicated.
This outfit is easy to recreate for the fall season, but I love how the ruffle detailing on the cardigan bring an element of flirtiness and fun. Pair it with some classic staples like black jeans and nude heels and you are ready to go! Remember that simple isn’t always a bad thing. Life is complicated enough. Why let your wardrobe get more complicated than your life? Happy Monday!
