I will save you the boring weather talk, and jump right into saying, “Spring is here!” At least according to the calendar. During any major season change, we immediately start thinking about how this is going to effect our wardrobe. Typically, we associate this time of year with light cardigans and cute jackets. And that is definitely true. But there are also a few other things to keep in mind, so I want to make sure you are Spring ready girl!

Because the temperature tends to fluctuate quite a bit, it can be confusing picking out what to wear. This has been so frustrating for me because I actually have about a 1/4 of my wardrobe that is still missing since my move in December. A lot of those items are cardigans, jackets, and dresses that literally have vanished from sight! And the worst part was that they were staples in my wardrobe that I wore all the time. Talk about a worst nightmare! Even though they have been missing for almost three months, it still irritates me to this day. I will walk around the house and randomly proclaim to my husband how insane it is that so many items could be missing. I swear there is a clothing fairy that knows I am a fashion blogger and she is secretly stealing my clothes! I kid, I kid.

Anyway, because I have been missing a few items, it really has made me realize what is necessary to have  hanging in your closet this time of year. So I pulled a little list together of some things you should have on hand. The style and color is really up to you. These are just the basics that will get you though the next few months.

1. A Few Neutral Cardigans

I only have 4-5 cardigans on hand right now. I am missing at least 5. I actually had to go out and buy this ruffle cardigan from this post and another one recently because I was constantly caught in being kinda cold or too warm, especially at work. I definitely suggest having one in black and tan. Those two colors will get you by for now. But it can be fun to spice it up and do something trendy.

2. A Pair of Wedges

No matter what trends come and go, a pair of tan wedges will always get you through. I actually need to pick up another pair soon because mine are looking a bit dirty. These Steve Madden wedges are looking pretty cute!

3. Off the Shoulder Tops

Off the shoulder tops are literally everything right now. I feel like I have so many at this point that I don’t even want to look at another one! Okay, obviously that isn’t true, but it is a definite must do this season. I like this white one and this blue one

4. White Jeans

This is something that I actually suggest replacing every year. So don’t feel the need to splurge in this department. I like Vigoss for white jeans because they are affordable and stretch well.

5. Floral Dresses, Duh!

Do I need to say anymore? Take your pick. There are WAY too many to choose from!

6. A Statement Handbag

Don’t be afraid to go bold in this department. Last year I rocked a neon yellow Vince Camuto Bag, and loved it!

7. A Jean Jacket

This is an absolute must for me. I throw this over my Spring/ Summer dresses if I am a little chilly and I can easily remove it if needed. Find one you love. I’ve had mine for years and it is still going strong!

What am I missing? Tell me some of your Spring wardrobe must haves!

Happy Friday. Stop back soon!
